Communicating with clients is key to increasing engagement and building a better experience. SLIKR provided multiple contact methods for clients. The alerts and reminder are to
1. Email : Welcome, Confirmation, Cancellation, Password reset
2. SMS : SMS Alerts to the users phone
3. Mobile Push notifications : Low cost push notification to the users phone.
Each channel has different pro's and con's. For example many clients turn off push notification to their mobile device so there is no way for us to be sure and track delivery.
Types of Alerts and Notifications
General Alerts : SMS messages from the Kiosk if clients are not in the shop or the shop is running early and want clients to return.
Reminders : Regular process to send a notice to remind clients to check-in.
Promotions : One off to a select group, eg clients who have not returned for 6 months, an offer to entice them to come back.
The following outline is some of the delivery channels. These are configured on each of the alert notifications setup for the shop.
Mobile and Push Notification

Only users who have specified phone number will receive notification via sms. No push notifications will be sent to mobile devices. If user has both registered devices and phone number - he will receive only sms. |

Only users with registered mobile devices will receive push notifications. No sms will be sent. If user has both registered devices and phone number - he will receive only push notification. |

If user has registered mobile devices, push notifications will be sent. If user don't have mobile devices but has phone number, sms will be sent. This mode is introduced because push notifications are times cheaper than sms. |
